FARMVILLE, Va. - The Longwood Women's Soccer Team earned another round of Big South Conference honors after the Big South named Sydney Robertson and Sara Curtis to the All-Tournament Team on Sunday night, the conference office announced.
Robertson has been a steady leader for the Lancers backline all season. She cemented that during the semifinal match against USC Upstate, only allowing the Spartans to have two shots in the first half and 10 total shots for the match.
Robertson earned Big South honors multiple times this season, after earning the Big South co-defensive player of the week award back on Oct. 6th by helping lead the Lancers to back-to-back 1-0 shutouts against High Point and Presbyterian. She was also named to the Big South All-Conference First Team on Oct. 31, which she also earned in the 2024 season as well.
Curtis led the Lancers to seven shutouts this season, five of them against Big South opponents. She also earned several Big South Honors, including Scholar-Athlete of the Year, All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic. Curtis made three saves in the semifinal match against USC Upstate.
This is the first year since 2021 that Longwood has had two players on the All-Tournament team, following Amanda Arnone and Madison Lockamy. Alex Dinger was the lone representative for the Lancers last season.
