The Longwood University Department of Athletics would like to extend a welcome to you and your team to our campus this upcoming season. We would like to ensure your visit to our campus and the Farmville community is a pleasurable experience.
The accompanying links will provide you directions to each of our sports teams' venues, provided amenities, local lodging and restaurant information, parking for your team, and our complimentary ticket information for men's and women's basketball games. Pertinent phone numbers have been included.

Directions to the Athletics Complex (Soccer, Field Hockey, Lacrosse)
Google: Johnston Drive, Farmville, VA
From the East, Traveling 460W: Take first Farmville exit, merging onto East Third Street. Turn left on Milnwood Road (first light). Right on Johnston Drive, Athletics Complex on right (adjacent to Longwood Golf Club).
From the West, Traveling 460E: Take second Farmville exit, turn left on South Main Street. Turn right on Milnwood Road (first light past Wal-Mart). Left on Johnston Drive, Athletic Complex on right (adjacent to Longwood Golf Club).
From the South, Traveling 15N: Turn right on Milnwood Road (first light past Wal-Mart). Left on Johnston Drive, Athletics Complex on right (adjacent to Longwood Golf Club).
From the North, Traveling 15S: Merges into West Third Street and into East Third Street. Turn right on Milnwood Road (first light past Sun Chase). Right on Johnston Drive, Athletics Complex on right (adjacent to Longwood Golf Club).
Locker Rooms
Locker rooms are located on-site at the Athletics Complex.
Athletic Training
A satellite Athletic Training Room is located on site at the Athletics Complex.
Sports Medicine
- Ice, water, cups, ice bags, appropriate biohazardous containers and supplies, as well as emergency supplies will be available, as well as use of therapeutic modalities.
- A certified athletic trainer will be present and available for assistance approximately two hours before start time. If a certified athletic trainer is not traveling with your team, please provide a written list of all athletes that require treatment and/or taping with a description of these treatments.
- For further information and questions, please contact Athletic Training at 434.395.2965.
- A key for your locker room will be given to the head coach two (2) hours prior to tip-off. It is your responsibility to lock the room. A staff member will retrieve the key at the conclusion of the game.
- You will have access to a dry-erase board, markers, and eraser.
- Shower towels will be placed in your locker room for your team's use. After use, please return them to the laundry basket in the room.
- Your complimentary team ticket list must be provided to Longwood University's Will Call window, adjacent to the Athletic Ticket Office, no later than one and one-half hours prior to tip off time.
- No complimentary tickets will be released until the Athletic Ticket Office has secured your team pass list.
Directions & Parking (Basketball)
- All visiting team buses will drop off and park at 405 Spruce Street, Farmville, VA 23901 at the loading dock.
- If you are coming from the South, turn Left onto Spruce Street from Redford Street at the light.
- If you are coming North, turn Right onto Spruce Street from Redford Street at the light.
- Once you turn at the light, continue straight where you will see the loading dock. Do not turn left or right once you have turned at the light under any circumstances.
- Buses should back into the loading dock area.
