Both teams traded scoring opportunities in the second quarter, with the Lancers receiving a penalty corner opportunity. Amanda Cimillo (1-0) made a save to keep the score 0-0.

The Spiders found their footing in the third quarter and took the lead behind 11 shots in the frame. Seven minutes into the half, Jess McKeeking batted in a high rebound for a 1-0 lead.

Five minutes later, Clara Larripa slotted home an opportunity off a feed from Alexa Derr and Valen Luna Paratore.

With four minutes left in the match, Lainey Nichols put the match out of reach for Richmond off a find by Camila Daud and Clara Larripa.
