Biography

2019: Started four of the 16 games she appeared in…played 684 minutes, a career high…dished a pair of assists, which were the first two of her career…assists came against USC Upstate (Oct. 12) and Campbell (Oct. 16)…assist against USC Upstate was on the game-winning goal scored by Kennedy Culbreath in the 29th minute…also had an assist on the go-ahead goal at the end of the first half against Richmond before the game was canceled at halftime due to weather...played 70-plus minutes in three of Longwood’s final five games…logged a career-high 79 minutes in a 2-1 double-overtime loss at Old Dominion (Sept. 5)…played 70-plus minutes in back-to-back outings against High Point (Oct. 23) and Gardner-Webb (Oct. 26).

2018: Appeared in six games as a freshman…scored the game-winning goal against Big South Newcomer Hampton in a 5-1 victory (10/3)...totaled 129 minutes with a high of 57 minutes against Hampton…took at least one shot in her final six games, including a career-high five against Hampton...named a Longwood Scholar-Athlete.

High School: A versatile forward and midfielder at Colgan Senior High School...led Colgan in goals as both a junior and senior while captaining the team both of those seasons...erupted as a senior, scoring 23 goals and dishing 12 assists to earn her second straight all-conference first-team award...was a finalist for her league's player of the year award...as a junior, scored 11 goals with 12 assists...received Colgan's Golden Boot Award in back-to-back years...also named team MVP both of those years...played for the U23 Pro CCL team along with several high-level Virginia club teams...among those was Herndon United, where she played alongside fellow Longwood freshman Layne Fadely...also competed with BRYC where she won a pair of Virginia State Cup championships in 2014 and 2015 and reached the state finals again in 2018...honor roll student...volunteered with Fin Friends, which assists students with special needs...also volunteered with the Special Olympics...member of the Key Club...participated in Readers are Leaders, an after-school reading program for elementary students.

Personal: Daughter of David and Lisa Cox...has two siblings, Ashley and Austin...sister, Ashley, played soccer at Lynchburg College and helped the program capture the 2014 Division III National Championship...cousin, Meghan Cox, played at the University of Virginia and has played professionally in the National Women's Soccer League with the Portland Thorns and Houston Dash...cousin, Stephanie Cox, played field hockey at Radford...uncle, Brian Tirch, played baseball at Christopher Newport University...plans to own her own business after college.
