FARMVILLE, Va. - Longwood men's golf travels to the Ironwood Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The two-day event will be held at the Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
Along with the Lancers and host ECU, a total of 13 teams will compete, including Barton College, Charleston Southern, Coppin State, Gardner-Webb, Georgetown, High Point, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Old Dominion, Presbyterian, Queens (N.C.), and Temple.

- Longwood competes in the Ironwood Intercollegiate for the third time in the last five years. Last season, the Lancers placed fifth at the event.
- Sophomore Matthew Hartley led the way for Longwood at the fall-opening Bryan National Collegiate. He fired an even-par 216 to finish in a share of 16th place. Hartley posted two rounds in red figures, including a 2-under 70 in round one and a 1-under 71 in the final round. He collected four birdies in both rounds.
- As a team, Longwood shot its best round of the Bryan National Collegiate in the opening 18 behind an even-par 288.
- Senior Matthew Lyons shot the best 18-hole score of the opening tournament, firing a 3-under 69 in the opening round at the Bryan National Collegiate.
- Lyons, Hartley, and sophomore Josh Cummins have the top returning scoring averages from last season. Cummins posted a 73.27 across 15 rounds followed by Hartley at 73.37 in 27 rounds and Lyons at 73.54 in 24 rounds.
