Aristhid Kamdjin and junior
Brando Bedolla were named to the preseason list for the second consecutive year, while seniors
Mesfin Roda and
Ezrah Serralde, and sophomore
Benjamin Ferrero earned a spot this season. In total, 29 Big South players were recognized. Each team could select up to five players (regardless of position) to be included on the Watch List.
- Bedolla is the Lancers top returning scorer from a season ago, finishing with 18 points on six goals and six assists. He earned All-Big South Second Team honors in 2025 after ranking among the top five in the conference in goals, assists and points. Some of his notable performances during his junior season included scoring the game-winning goal in a victory over Elon and tallying a pair of markers in a draw with Winthrop.

- The Lancers and Tribe meet for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The teams played in 1-1 draws in both 2022 and 2023, while W&M won the last meeting 2-0 in 2024 in Williamsburg.
- Longwood opens the home portion of its schedule on Monday, August 24, when it welcomes Sun Belt foe Coastal Carolina to the Longwood Athletics Complex for a 6 p.m. kick. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
