FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood women's lacrosse once again garnered recognition for outstanding work in the classroom by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
 
The Lancers were named as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, and eight Lancers garnered IWLCA Honor Roll accolades.
 
Teams had to combine for a 3.2 GPA or higher to earn IWLCA Academic Honor Squad honors, and student-athletes had to hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater while being at least a junior to garner individual honor roll honors.
 
The Lancers banded together for a 3.52 team GPA as part of a banner year for Longwood student-athletes that saw the department set a GPA record yet again.
 
Alexandra Burst, Amelia Carlile, Kendra DeFilippo, Elena Fireston, Jordan Fitzgerald, Isabella McCullough and Lily Stohlman all picked up honor roll honors.
