CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Longwood women's cross country closed the season with a solid finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday morning.

Sophie Farley finished in the top 100 in the 6K race, and the Lancers finished 28
th to tie their best team finish at regionals, a mark achieved in back-to-back years now.

NOTABLE RESULTS:

Farley's time of 21:13.5 was the second-fastest time in team history, and she was one of three Lancers who posted a time that broke into the top 10 in the team record books. She now owns the top two 6K times in team history and is the only runner to break 22 minutes while finishing 78
th .

Sydney O'Hara-Wood capped her impressive freshman season with a 22:32.7 that was the sixth-fastest time in team history as well. She finished 162
nd.

Kirsten Morley powered her way to a 23:03.7, the ninth-fastest time in team history. The sophomore finished 195
th.
Â
Sam Bolen and
Madison Davis also both set personal bests. Bolen put together a 23:20.5 to finish 209
th, and Davis was 222
nd behind a 23:40.4.
Lanie Grogg rounded out the grouping with a 23:43.8 to finish 225
th.
