Scouting JMU
•The Dukes took the first game of the home-and-home series, 4-3, in Farmville by holding off Longwood in the late innings. After JMU took a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning, Longwood trailed 4-0 until the eighth inning when the Lancers rallied for three runs.
•JMU boasts a lineup with five hitters averaging better than .300, led by Fox Semones, who is hitting .333.
•Brett Johnson is the power threat in the JMU order, hitting .295 with nine home runs and seven doubles and a .574 slugging percentage.
