Longwood University Athletics

Ty Green joined the Longwood Athletics communications staff as a Communications Assistant in August 2026 after previously serving as a Communications Intern with the department.

In his current role, Green serves as the Sports Information Director for baseball, men's and women's cross country, and men's and women's track. During his internship, he produced graphic design and marketing content for Longwood Athletics while also handling game-day responsibilities.

A native of Powhatan, Va., Green originally committed to play football at Averett University before transferring to Longwood University in 2025. Now a senior, Green has taken on responsibility for five Longwood athletic programs while continuing to develop his experience in sports communications, graphic design, and media relations.
