Longwood University Athletics

Head Coach Ray Noe has announced the addition of Eric Hill, Longwood class of 1994, as a Director of Player Development in September 2026. He will primarily provide support with the infield group and assist with recruiting efforts for the program. 

Before joining Longwood, Hill was the infield and first base coach at Randolph-Macon College for the 2026 season. He served as Director of Player Development for the Richmond Spiders program for five seasons (2020-2022 & 2024-2025). He additionally supported the Spiders as an Operations Intern for three seasons (2017-2019). 

A native of Hillsville, Va., Hill was a member of the Longwood 1991 baseball team that advanced to the final four of the Division II World Series that year. His 1991 team was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011.  

Hill is a 12-year member of the American Baseball Coaches Association and is also part of the Virginia Baseball Coaches Association. He also holds USA Baseball A, B & C coaching certifications. 

Hill resides in Glen Allen, Va., with his wife Kelly, Longwood class of 1995. His son Brandon is also on the Longwood coaching staff as Director of Pitching Development, and his daughter Ainsley is a Senior Nursing major at Longwood.
