Brandon Washburn

Brandon Washburn joined the Longwood men’s golf program as a graduate assistant coach in the summer of 2026.  
  
Washburn joined the Longwood program after competing for the golf team at Bridgewater College for four years. In 2025-26, he earned All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference First Team honors. He posted seven top-five finishes and recorded a 73.8 stroke average across 21 events as a senior.   
  
Academically, Washburn earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in May. As part of his undergraduate course work, he designed and built a full-stack sports analytics platform, called Eagle Analytics. His team's work was featured in the Daily News-Record. At Longwood, he will pursue his MBA.   
  
Washburn has experience in the coaching ranks, serving as a junior golf coach at Independence Golf Club in Powhatan, Va., for two years. He assisted in running and managing golf camps through the Robins Junior Golf Program.   
  
Outside of golf, Washburn served as an IT Intern for Ukrop's Homestyle Foods in the summer of 2025. He developed and deployed a custom cake ordering application, contributing to the launch of Ukrop's online ordering platform.
