Longwood University Athletics

2021: VaSID All-State... All-Big South honorable mention... Longwood captain... started all 15 games, leading the team in goals (30) while ranking second in points (36)... led team in ground balls with 29, adding three draw controls and eight caused turnovers... scored four times in Longwood's season opener at VCU... tallied hat tricks against VCU, Old Dominion, William & Mary, Delaware State, Presbyterian, and Campbell... totaled 10 goals and 11 points in her final four games. 

2020: Continued the success of her breakout sophomore season as a junior, amassing 23 goals and 25 points in just eight games to rank second on the team in both categories…added 12 ground balls and five caused turnovers…scored at least four goals in five of her eight games, including a five-goal outburst in a 15-14 win over Old Dominion…also scored four goals in a win at Delaware State and a victory over Bryant, as well as in a one-goal loss to American and a two-goal loss to VCU…dished a pair of assists…put more than 60 percent of her shot attempts on goal.
 
2019: Enjoyed a breakout sophomore season, setting career highs with 31 goals and 33 points…also captained the team…finished third on the team in goals and points…put 56.4 percent of her shots on target…scored in 16 of her 17 games, including a seven-goal outburst against Big South foe Presbyterian and a pair of hat tricks at Wofford and against Campbell…added two assists as well…was a perfect 7-for-7 shooting in the 22-9 win at Presbyterian…also had a perfect 3-for-3 shooting performance against Wofford.

2018 (Freshman): Made 13 appearances scoring four goals on six shots...two of her four goals were game-winners...collected three ground balls, caused two turnovers and won a draw...scored in three-straight appearances (Gardner-Webb, Liberty and Presbyterian)... Longwood Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Emma Johnson comes to Longwood after a four-sport career at Pikesville High School in which she competed in field hockey, cross country, indoor track and lacrosse…she was an All-Division performer her freshman season in field hockey, an All-County performer for lacrosse her junior and senior seasons as well as MVP as a senior…a three-time captain of the lacrosse team, Johnson was invited to the senior all-star game in lacrosse…was a member of a regional champion track team all four seasons including an indoor track state title her freshman year…medaled at the state level for indoor track in the 4x8 and 4x4 relay senior year…Johnson was also a member of the National Honor Society and has experience volunteering for ‘Guiding Eyes’ training dogs for the blind as well as a physical therapy clinic.

Personal: Born Emma Katherine Johnson on June 6, 1999…daughter of Jamie and Stacey Johnson…has one sibling, James…majoring in kinesiology with a minor in business administration.
