Jessica Siler joined the Longwood Sports Medicine Staff in the 2020-21 academic year. She oversees the women’s basketball team as well as both men’s and women’s golf teams, cross country, and tennis.
Siler brings a wealth of prior experience to Longwood. She worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at the Carilion Clinic for six years, spending time as part of the Clinic-Based PRN Outreach as well as on the high school side.
In the 2014-15 academic year, Siler spent one season as an athletic trainer at Virginia Military Institute where she helped with the football team while serving as the head athletic trainer for track and field.
She is a board-certified Certified Athletic Trainer as well as licensed by the VA medical board. In addition, she is CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certified by the American Heart Association. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
Siler graduated with honors with her master’s degree in health and science in athletic training from the University of St. Augustine in 2019. In 2014, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State.
