2019: Transfer from State Fair Community College (Mo.) … big right-handed hitter looking to contribute to the Lancers as a potential corner infielder or corner outfielder.

2018 (State Fair Community College): Had a breakout season as a sophomore at State Fair Community College (Mo.), batting .340 with 11 home runs, 11 doubles, two triples, and 49 RBI in 53 games … finished the season with two multi-home run games, including a seven-RBI game against Three Rivers Community College in the second game of a doubleheader (3/25) … stole 10 bases and scored 47 runs, holding down a position in the middle of the order.

2017: Did not appear in any games in 2017.

2016 (Coffeyville Community College): Began collegiate career at Coffeyville Community College (Kan.) … hit .196 with 11 RBI and one home run in 20 games … put together a strong 2-for-4 game with four RBI, three runs scored, and one home run at Neosho County Community College in the second game of a doubleheader (4/9).

High School: Played baseball all four years at Mountain Grove high school (Mo.) … during senior year was a Perfect Game Preseason All-Region selection and went on to collect all-conference, all-district, and all-state honors … finished senior year with a .382 batting average in 29 games with 10 extra-base hits and 15 RBI … was ranked number 15 in Missouri at his position and number 36 player regardless of position in the state in 2015 by Perfect Game … also played four years of football and three years of basketball in high school.

Academics: Majoring in business, planning on getting master’s degree in business administration … was a part of the National Honors Society in high school and an Academic All-State selection in senior year.

Personal: Born Jacob Sutherland Mitchell on July 31, 1996 … son of Brush and Connie Mitchell … has two older sisters, Whitney McDaniel and Jessica Reed.
