Isabella Morales joined the Longwood softball coaching staff in August of 2022 after finishing her playing career at Nyack College. While she just wrapped up her collegiate playing career, she also brings in multiple years of coaching experience as she embarks on her collegiate coaching career.
“It is our pleasure to welcome Coach Morales to the Longwood Softball family,” Brown said. “Her knowledge of so many levels of our game as a player and coach brings great perspective and experience to our staff and team. Her work ethic and grit truly embody the mission and vision of Longwood Softball.”
Morales was a middle infielder at Nyack College, where she played for two years while hitting .273 as a middle infielder. She was an Easton NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete and graduated cum laude.
She began her playing career at Broward College as a utility player in the junior college ranks, and she was a First Team All-Southern Conference selection both seasons. She transferred to Bethune-Cookman for her junior season, but the year was canceled due to the COVID-10 pandemic.
While still in school, she also began her coaching career. She has coached with the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) since 2018, coaching in the USSSA summer and winter All-American games in addition to the USSSA Select 30 event.
She also served as an assistant and head softball coach for the Atlanta Premier 18U and Texas Blaze 16U travel teams from 2019-2021. In addition, she worked as a coach with the Softball Youth All-American Games.
Morales graduated from Nyack with her bachelor’s degree this spring and earned her associate’s degree at Broward College in 2019. She is working on her Master’s of Business Administration at Longwood.
