Harrison Stevens

Stevens joined the Longwood baseball staff in the summer of 2025 following time at Ball State and Emmanuel University.

Stevens helped Ball State finish third in the MAC while winning 21 conference games and 36 games overall, and he helped guide the team to the best regular season fielding percentage in the nation (.984). He also served as the first base coach for a Cardinal squad that had a trio of All-MAC First Team selections, and the offense led the MAC in total hits (595).

Prior to Ball State, he spent two seasons on staff at Emmanuel in the NCAA Division II ranks. In 2024, he helped Emmanuel post its first 30-win season in team history at the Division II level. That campaign included 18 wins in Conference Carolinas. The team took a series over the 11th-ranked team in the nation, UNC Pembroke, as well as six three-game sweeps.

The 2024 success was built off a strong 2023 that saw the team post its best record to date in its Division II history.

He served as the head coach at Battle Mountain High School in Colorado from 2020-22 and helped lead the team to new levels of success. In 2021, the team’s 10-6 record in a shortened season was the best winning percentage in school history, and the team advanced to the postseason in 2022 for the first time in school history.

Stevens grew up in Colorado, where he played at Eagle Valley. He then played collegiately at Colby Community College before going to Evangel University to play for two seasons. He also played with the Gate City Grays and Ozark Generals.

Stevens holds his associate’s degree from Colby CC while earning his bachelor’s in sport management with a minor in coaching at Evangel. He obtained his master’s degree in positive coaching and athletic leadership from the University of Missouri. He lives with his wife Megan in Farmville.
