Prior to Longwood: Played baseball for two seasons at Chipola College...Made 28 appearances, totaling 33.1 innings over his two years...Held a 5.68 ERA with one save and an 0-2 record as a sophomore while striking out 19 in 19.0 innings...As a freshman, made 15 appearances with a 2-1 record spread over 14.1 innings of work while holding a 6.28 ERA with 18 strikeouts...

High School: Played baseball at North Myrtle Beach High School...Did not play due to injury as a senior...As a junior, threw 40.1 innings while recording a 2.24 ERA, surrendering only 21 runs, 13 earned, on 24 hits and 29 walks while striking out 71...All-region selection for baseball..Also was the starting quarterback on the varsity football team and played varsity basketball...Earned all-state and all-region honors at quarterback...
