FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood Head Men's Basketball Coach
Ronnie Thomas announced the signing of TJ Robinson to the men's basketball team for the 2026-27 season.
Robinson comes to Farmville following his strong freshman campaign at St. Peter's, one of the top teams in the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
"TJ gives us a dynamic guard with great burst, speed, and open-floor ability while also bringing tremendous size for the point guard position," Thomas said. "His ability to attack downhill and create paint touches adds another important dimension to our offense and allows us to play with multiple playmakers on the floor at the same time. We believe his versatility and ability to make plays with the ball in his hands will make him a major piece of what we want our identity to look like moving forward."
Robinson played in 27 games with eight starts as a dynamic guard for the Peacocks. He averaged 9.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, and he boasted a 2.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He helped lead St. Peter's to a 17-12 record that included a 14-6 run in MAAC play.
Over his 27 games, the Paterson, N.J. native scored in doubles figures 14 times while tallying a career-best 21 in a late-season win over Fairfield in February. The 6'4, 185-pound guard had at least five assists five times as well.
Prior to college, Robinson attended Montclair Immaculate Conception, where he was the 26
th-rated point guard and 221
st overall prospect by 247Sports Composite. He surpassed the 1,000-point mark in his junior season, and he won a state championship as a senior.
He joins a Longwood team that has won two out of the past five Big South Championships, and the Lancers will enter their second year under head coach
Ronnie Thomas.
The Lancers will begin their chase for the Big South title in November, 2026. To stay tuned to the latest information about Longwood Basketball, head to
