THE OPENING TIP
•    Longwood plays the final game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon against Radford, and it is Senior Day for the Lancer men.
•    In addition, Bank of the James is the game sponsor, and it is fan appreciation day along with the bow tie promotion.
•    The Big South Trophy Tour heads to the Joan Perry Brock Center as well.
•    The game is sold out, the third sellout this season.
•    The Lancers can finish anywhere between tied for fourth and sixth in the standings, with their final position coming down to tiebreakers.
•    The finish slots them into the evening window on Friday, March 6, at the Big South Tournament, sponsored by the Air Force Reserve.
•    Longwood has four players averaging double figures, with Elijah Tucker and Jacoi Hutchinson both averaging more than 12 points per game while Johan Nziemi and Redd Thompson Jr. are averaging more than 10 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT
•    Longwood persevered and earned a tough 107-96 double-overtime win on the road at Charleston Southern on Saturday, Feb. 21.
•    Jacoi Hutchinson scored a career-high 36 points, including 10 of Longwood's 14 points in the second overtime. He was a perfect 11-11 from the foul line and 12-22 from the floor.
•    Redd Thompson Jr. added 22 points off the bench as the Lancer reserves outscored CSU's bench 45-18.
•    Jaylen Benard added 16 points, and Emanuel Richards and Elijah Tucker chipped in 11 points each.
•    That was enough for the Lancers to overcome a triple-double from A'lahn Sumler, who had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for CSU.
•    Longwood was 32-35 from the free throw line and did not miss a foul shot in the two overtime periods, and the Lancers grabbed 23 offensive rebounds.

BY THE NUMBERS
•    The 36 points by Jacoi Hutchinson against Charleston Southern were the most by a Lancer since Tristan Carey scored 37 points for Longwood against Charleston Southern on Jan. 25, 2014.
•    In addition, the 36 points from Hutchinson and 22 from Redd Thompson Jr. were the first time the Lancers have had two players combine for 55 or more points since Johnathan Massie (31 points) and Michael Christmas (25 points) did so against Winthrop on Feb. 10, 2024.
•    Longwood is 3-1 in games that have gone to overtime this season, with the Lancers winning all three conference games that have gone to OT.
•    The Lancers have seven conference wins for a second straight season and the sixth time in seven seasons. A win would give them the most conference wins since the 2022-23 season.
•    In the win over Charleston Southern, Longwood snared 23 offensive rebounds, a season-high.
•    The 23 offensive rebounds were the most since the Lancers grabbed 24 offensive boards against UNC Asheville on Jan. 8, 2025.
•    It was the first time Longwood grabbed at least 20 offensive rebounds this season, but it is the 11th time the team has gotten at least 20 offensive boards in a game since Ronnie Thomas joined the coaching staff.
•    The Lancers also had at least 10 steals for the 13th time this season, and the team is 10-3 when getting 10 or more steals.
•    The Lancers are 18th nationally in turnovers forced per game at 14.9, good for second in the Big South.
•    Seven different players have led the Lancers in scoring in a game this season.
•    The Lancers are 13-2 when leading at the half.
