FARMVILLE, Va. – The Longwood women's basketball team is set to play a 13-game non-conference slate in 2025-26, four-year head coach Erika Lang-Montgomery announced Tuesday.
The schedule features seven home games at the Joan Perry Brock Center and Power 4 contests on the road at Virginia on Nov. 20 and Ole Miss on Nov. 24 and a Thanksgiving trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the 2025 Puerto Rico Clasico.
The season begins Nov. 5 as Randolph pays a visit to Farmville. The Sun Belt's Western Kentucky comes in Nov. 8 to begin a two-game series between the two over the next two seasons, The Lancers and Hilltoppers have never met in women's basketball.
The first road game of the season pits Longwood against Navy in Annapolis on Nov. 8 after the Midshipmen visited Southside Virginia in 2024-25.
NAIA school, Bluefield, is the opponent on Nov. 14 for Homecoming and Alumni Weekend before George Washington comes to town Nov. 17, for its first-ever meeting with the Lancers.
Longwood and UVA are slated for their first meeting since 2015-16 prior to heading to Oxford, Miss., and a date with the SEC's Ole Miss.
Longwood will face Buffalo of the MAC and Stephen F. Austin from the Southland on Nov. 27 and 29, respectively.
Longwood closes the non-league portion of the schedule with three home games in its last four outings. Troy is in Farmville on Dec. 3, UNC Pembroke comes in Dec. 7 and UNCW visits on Dec. 21.
A contest at Elon is sandwiched in that stretch on Dec. 14.
Longwood, at 22-12 in 2024-25, is coming off of a Big South championship game appearance and berth in the postseason WNIT.
