The First Pitch:
•    Longwood opens up a four-game homestand by hosting James Madison for a midweek matchup at Buddy Bolding Stadium.
•    Tuesday night is Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Night at the park.
•    Longwood snapped a seven game skid with an important win on Sunday at Presbyterian.
•    Longwood is tied for fifth in the Big South standings with Gardner-Webb.
•    The Lancers have played six games against teams in the current top 100 of RPI with matchups against Charlotte, Boston College, Richmond and ETSU. Longwood also has games remaining against both USC Upstate and High Point, as well as a second midweek game against Richmond.
 
Previous Series
•    Longwood dropped the first two games of the series at Presbyterian 15-8 and 3-2, but the team rallied for an 8-4 win on the final day to prevent the sweep.
•    In the series opener, Presbyterian jumped out to an early lead, but Longwood rallied in the middle innings to cut the lead to 9-6. Ultimately, PC scored six runs in the late stages to put it out of reach.
•    The second game was a pitcher's duel, with both sides scoring two runs in the first six innings. PC plated one in the eighth to win.
•    In the finale, Longwood took a lead in the first and led for the entirety. This time, the Lancers scored three runs in the eighth to win it.
•    Bentley Yeatts had three RBI in the series finale.
 
Around The Bases:
•    Longwood takes on Commonwealth foe James Madison, marking one of nine non-conference games against competition located in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
•    The Lancers have two matchups left, with a trip to William & Mary and a home matchup against Richmond.
•    In addition to the other nine non-conference tilts, Longwood takes on Radford for a three-game Big South series on the final weekend of the regular season.
