The First Pitch:
•    Longwood opens up a four-game homestand with a midweek matchup against Richmond on Tuesday night at Buddy Bolding Stadium.
•    The game is a second meeting between two teams after Longwood played at Richmond on March 11.
•    The game is the ninth game for the Lancers against a Commonwealth of Virginia opponent, and the Lancers still have a three-game series against Radford on the final weekend of the regular season.
•    Longwood leads the Big South in stolen bases with 110, with three players in the top five in the league in Tre Keels, Myles Webb and Mac Tufts.
•    The Lancers take on a Richmond side that has gone 25-13 on the season and is 7-11 in A10 play.  The Spiders were swept at George Washington this weekend.

Previous Series
•    Longwood fell in a three-game series at Charleston Southern on Easter weekend.
•    The Lancers lost the opening game 9-8 on Thursday, with a comeback effort coming up just short.
•    In the second game, Charleston Southern won 15-11. Longwood had tied the game in the seventh, but a pair of errors allowed CSU to plate four unearned runs in the eighth inning to
•    In the third game, CSU used one big inning to pull away early with a 10-run third inning that effectively put the game out of reach.
•    On the weekend, Myles Webb had a hit in every game and scored four runs for the team as well. He went 4-11 at the plate. Jae'dan Carter also had a pair of multi-hit games and hit his first collegiate home run.
 
Around The Bases:
•    Longwood continues a stretch of four home games followed by four road games with the current four-game homestand that features matchups with Richmond on Tuesday and Winthrop this weekend.
•    In Big South play, Longwood has three players in the top seven of the league in runs scored: Mikey Urbaniak (fifth, 21 runs scored), Tre Keels (sixth, 20), and James Nelson (seventh, 18).
•    Urbaniak is also tied for fourth in the league with seven doubles in 15 conference games.
•    James Nelson ranks second on the entire season with 15 doubles for the Lancers. He is three away from breaking into the top five in program history for doubles in a season.
•    Myles Webb leads Longwood with 10 steals in 15 conference games.
•    Tre Keels leads the league on the whole with 27 stolen bases, and he ranks 13th nationally in steals.
•    Longwood has 39 stolen bases as a team in Big South play, easily the top mark in the league, and the Lancers have 110 steals on the season, which is 39 more than the team in second (CSU-71).
•    The Lancers are fifth in the league on the season with a .386 on-base percentage, and that number jumps to .436 in Big South play, which ranks third in the league.
•    Longwood is also second in the league in hit by pitch, with batters being hit 76 times.
•    Longwood's combined total of walks and HBP adds up to 279 is third in the Big South behind only Winthrop (316) and High Point (311)
•    Jae'dan Carter is third in the league in walks (37), and Mikey Urbaniak is fourth (32).

•    Longwood and Richmond play in the return game of a home-and-home of a midweek series this season.
