THE OPENING TIP
•    Longwood returns home to host USC Upstate, with the game sponsored by College Corners on High. The first 250 students, and the first 50 community members, will receive a Longwood Rope Hat.
•    The Lancers have enjoyed huge success in Farmville under head coach Griff Aldrich, going 10-1 this season at the Joan Perry Brock Center and 23-4 since opening the venue last year, a 0.852 winning percentage.
•    The Lancers have had huge community and student support and rank second in the Big South in attendance as well.
•    The Lancer men and women have combined for 30 wins (15 each), the best combined start in the millennium for the two teams.
•    The Lancer men have won four of their past five games, and four players are averaging double figures in scoring in Big South play.
•    Longwood plays a USC Upstate side that has four players averaging double figures in points.

LAST TIME OUT
•    In a gritty road performance, Longwood handed Radford its first home loss of the season on Wednesday night, 77-74.
•    Angelo Brizzi and Michael Christmas keyed the effort, leading five Lancers in double figures in the scoring column.
•    Brizzi scored a career high 17 points, and Christmas matched him with 17 points while hitting five threes. The duo combined to hit eight of Longwood's 10.
•    Colby Garland added 11 points and plenty of clutch free throws down the stretch, and Elijah Tucker and Johan Nziemi chipped in 10 points apiece.
•    Longwood led for better than 85 percent of the game, but Radford never let Longwood get comfortable and tied the game in the final two minutes.
•    Tucker gave Longwood the lead for good with 1:45 left, and the defense forced two turnovers late.
