• Longwood is set to Norfolk State in a road midweek match up Tuesday afternoon.
• Longwood comes into the week after dropping two of three vs. Charleston Southern over the weekend.
• The Lancers were able to steal game three of the series thanks to a big eighth inning.
• This is the second match up between the two this year. Longwood won the first game 8-6.

Around The Bases:
• Longwood is set to travel to Norfolk State on Tuesday afternoon for a midweek match up.
• The Lancers look to bounce back from the weekend where they dropped two of three to Charleston Southern.
• The Lancers experience has been a steady piece on both sides of the ball this season.

Hayden Harris, and
Willie Havens help lead the way for Longwood behind the plate, while
Andrew Potojecki and
Brenton Fisher start two of the three weekend series games.
• Longwood and Charleston Southern were neck and neck in game one.
Hayden Harris provided a two rbi single in the bottom of the eighth to give the Lancers the lead heading into the last frame, but the Buccaneers fought back and plated six in the ninth to steal game one.
• Game two saw a ton of offense. Charleston Southern jumped out to a 7-0 lead before the Lancers clawed back into the game. The Buccaneers were able to outlast Longwood in the end, and earn the series clinching win.
• Longwood got a great start Sunday from starter
Brenton Fisher, where he was able to keep the hot bats from Charleston Southern off balance. Both teams went back and forth through the first seven innings, but the Lancers would use a big eighth inning to pull away. Longwood drew bases loaded walks in four consecutive walks to pull away.
• Longwood now sits at 3-6 in Big South Play, and are currently in sixth place. They are set to take on High Point over the weekend. The Panthers are tied for third place. .
• The Lancers are still proving that they are not afraid when it comes to being hit by a pitch. They currently sit fifth in the country in HBP at 77.
.• Longwood has also proven to be an unselfish bunch at the plate this season as they have the fifth most sacrifice bunts on the season in the country at 31.
