The First Pitch:
• Longwood is set to take on Elon in the midweek as they continue their road trip.
• Longwood looks to build off of their last performance which saw them take game three from Kennesaw State 6-1.
• Longwood lost its first series of the season, two to one, to Kennesaw State after back-to-back weekend sweeps to start the year.
• The Lancers continue their eight game road trip with this being their 5th game away from home.
• First pitch is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday night.
Around The Bases:
• Longwood continues their road trip with a trip to take on Elon.
• The Lancers look to bounce back from their past weekend which ultimately saw them drop two of three in Kennesaw.

Hayden Harris has hit safely in 10 straight games.
• Longwood dropped the first game of the double header Saturday in Kennesaw in a shortened seven inning game. The Lancers got out to a quick start by plating four runs through the first four innings.
• The fifth inning however turned out to be crucial. The owls would tie the game in the fifth on four hits that gave them four runs.They added another in the sixth, and the Lancers would eventually strand the tying run in the 7th to drop game one.
• Game two was a good old-fashioned pitcher's duel. The starting pitchers for both teams got out to great starts keeping the game tight for the first five innings.
• The Owls would add one in the bottom half of the sixth, and the Lancers would then strand runners on base in the seventh, eighth, and ninth to ultimately drop a 2-1 decision.
• Sunday saw another nail bitter. After seven complete innings Kennesaw had a 1-0 lead.
• The Lancers would finally break through in the eighth, punching out multiple timely hits.

Logan Janney led off the inning with a single,
Keondre Shelton would then move him over courtesy of a sac bunt, and the stage was set.
Nathan Lancianese pinch hit, and drove in the tying run. A batter later
Hayden Harris would bring him in.
• The Lancers would ultimately plate five in the eighth and one in the ninth to steal game three of the series.

Dominick D'Ercole threw 5.0 shutout innings which saw him strike out seven batters only allowing one hit.

Noah Campanelli put together another solid weekend in which he hit .428 with two stolen bases, and three runs scored.
• The starting rotation has gotten off to a great start in the first three weekend this season.

Brenton Fisher, and
Ethan Walker have all helped the Lancers early in weekend games due to keeping their opponents batting average at .217 in three outings each.
• They have combined for 46 strikeouts this season in just 28 innings pitched between the three.
