• Longwood is set to take on Winthrop in their first conference weekend of the season.
• Longwood comes into the weekend after splitting their midweek matchups. They beat VCU on Tuesday, but dropped Wednesday's game to William & Mary.
• Longwood, who is on the road this weekend, finds themselves in a familiar situation, as they have played 8 of their last 10 away from home.
• The Lancers lost the series last season to Winthrop, as the Eagles took two of three.
Around The Bases:
• Longwood is set to hit the road for their first conference series as they travel to Rock Hill, Sc. to take on the Eagles of Winthrop.
• The Lancers look to bounce back from their game Wednesday night which saw them fall to the Tribe of William & Mary.
• Experience has led the way on both sides of the ball this season for Longwood.

Hayden Harris, and
Willie Havens help lead the way for Longwood behind the plate, while
Guillermo Garcia Jr. and
Brenton Fisher start two of the three weekend series games.
• Longwood got out to a great start on Tuesday night which saw them take the second game of the year between in state foe VCU.
• They were able to keep the Rams off the base paths only giving up one walk through nine inning.
Brenton Fisher,
Dylan Saale,
Kevin Warunek, and
Ried Dittner combined for nine scoreless innings, while striking out six, and only allowing four hits.

Kevin Warunek had a great night out of the bullpen which saw him retire all six batters he faced.
• On the other side of the ball,
Noah Campanelli paced the Lancers where he went 3-4 with three of the four RBI's on the night.
• Wednesday night saw a different outcome for the Lancers, as William & Mary struck early and often, and Longwood ultimately wouldn't keep up.

Logan Janney and
Juice Tobin both recorded their first career stolen bases, as well as their first multi hit performances.
• Longwood dropped three games at No. 21 South Carolina the previous weekend, that saw the Lancers fight early and often. Ultimately South Carolina's power would help them take the weekend series.
• The Lancers are still proving that they are not afraid when it comes to being hit by a pitch. They currently sit third in the country in HBP at 50.
• Longwood has also proven to be an unselfish bunch at the plate this season as they have the fifth most sacrifice bunts on the season in the country at 18.
• Following the three game series Longwood will return to action Tuesday, where they will travel to George Mason for a midweek game, before returning home and playing host to its first conference series at Buddy Bolding Stadium this season against Presbyterian.
