FARMVILLE, Va. – North Carolina A&T State University took down the Longwood men's tennis team 5-2. This comes as the first loss after back-to-back victories from their previous two matches

Senior
Guillermo Cagigas and junior
Ernest Rocabert fought a tough No.1 doubles before defeated 6-4 by senior Vasil Ivanov and junior Esteban Lopez. Graduate
Rosen Naydenov and freshman
Luis Reis fell 6-1 to freshmen Eder Blanco and Jorge Perez in No.2 doubles to clinch the doubles point for A&T. Freshmen
Nikhil Kulkarni and
Yoav Weinberg reversed the score in no.3 doubles, beating out freshmen Ethan Baly and Ian Pedersen 6-1.
Singles
Naydenov and graduate
Jourdan Kast were taken down 6-4, 6-4 and 6-3, 6-4 respectively by Lopez and Ivanov in no.1 and no.2 singles. Weinberg and Perez face off in no.5 doubles where the Lancer was routed 6-1, 7-5. Cagigas won against Baly 6-4, 6-1 in no.4 singles before Reis followed suit and edged out Pedersen 7-6, 6-1 in no.6 singles. Rocabert and Blanco played a marathon match in no.3 singles until the Lancer was bested 6-4, 4-6, 10-8.
