  • Longwood and NC A&T have met 14 times in 15 years. 
  • The Lancers currently have a 9-5 record against them the Aggies and are on a two game win streak.

PROBABLE PITCHERS
  • Redshirt Sophomore Andrew Potojecki, is continuing his trend as the Friday night starter for the Lancers. Potojecki has struck out 14 batters his last two outings, both times picking up the win and going seven innings.
  • Kevin Warunek gets the nod for his sixth Saturday start in a row. Warunek has three quality starts this season and is coming off a six inning, two hit gem in his conference debut last weekend. Warunek is yet to pick up a loss, and often leaves the team in great position for a win
  • Andrew Melnyk is making his sexond consecutive Sunday start. The junior southpaw continues to increase his work load and be used in different ways on the mound. Melnyk is currently sporting a 5.79 ERA and is still in search of his first win in 2022, and hopes to pick it up Sunday
PLAYER(S) TO WATCH
  • Gregory Ryan is as hot as anyone in the conference and earned his first Player of the Week honors last week. Ryan currently holds an 12 game hitting streak where he's recorded four home runs, 16 RBI and has scored 13 runs himself
  • Andrew Potojecki is hoping to throw his third straight gem in as many Friday's. Poto has three quality starts and has thrown at least five innings in each of his five appearances.
  • Eliot Dix is batting .343 on the season and has the most multi-hit and three hit games for Longwood. Dix already has five, three hit games this year.
SCHEDULE TREND
  • After the weekend series, Longwood travel to Harrisonburg to take on James Madison University.
  • Following the midweek showdown, the Lancers return to Greensboro for another weekend series, this time against UNC Greensboro
