Scouting High Point
  • Longwood and High Point will meet for the first of five matchups in 2021, with Longwood hosting the remaining four. The teams have a three-game weekend series set for April 9-10 and a midweek game on May 11.
  • High Point is coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of Radford over the weekend. Radford won 3-1, 9-5 and 4-2 in the series. High Point swept UNC Asheville 8-2, 12-6 and 11-10 in their opening conference series, with the series against UNC Asheville replacing a three-game series with Winthrop that was postponed.
  • High Point has yet to play a midweek game this season.
  • High Point was selected fifth in the preseason poll for the Big South, receiving one first place vote. The Panthers played Bryant and UNC Greensboro in non-conference matchups prior to opening conference play against UNC Asheville.
  • Among batters that have at least 10 plate appearances, Cole Singsank leads the team with a .355 batting average, which ranks in a tie for ninth in the conference. Peyton Car has a team-best three home runs while posting a .342 batting average. He is one of four players with a homer this season.
