The Opening Tip
• Longwood hopes to end a three-game skid in Big South Conference play as the Bulldogs of UNC Asheville visit Willett Hall Saturday, January 25.
• The Lancers are raising funds for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund with a "Pink Out! Play for K!" game against the Bulldogs that will allow fans one free ticket to the game for a donation to the cause made at the game.
• Despite the Lancers' recent stretch of results, Longwood remains one of the most explosive offenses in the Big South, leading the league in scoring at 66.9 points per game.
• The Lancers have found their stroke from behind the arc after combining for three treys in two games, Longwood has converted on five or more three-pointers in five of their last six games.
• Longwood's last victory against UNC Asheville came on Jerome Kersey Court on February 24, 2018, when the Lancers defeated the Bulldogs, 67-54.
• Senior Dayna Rouse is 32 points shy of reaching 1,000 career points in her career.
Last Time Out
• Winthrop needed three Eagles in double-figures to overcome double-double performances by Dayna Rouse and Kyla McMakin as Longwood fell to Winthrop, 74-63.
• Dayna Rouse came two blocks shy of recording her first career triple-double as the senior All-Big South forward finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high eight blocks. The double-double was the fifth of the season for Rouse.
• Joining Dayna Rouse with a double-double was Kyla McMakin with 17 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. The double-double was the first of McMakin's collegiate career.
• For the fifth time in six games, Anne-Hamilton LeRoy finished in double-figures with 16 points, converting on 50 percent (3-of-6) of shots from behind the arc.

• Longwood's offense continues to be the highest-scoring offense in the Big South Conference. The Lancers are averaging 66.9 points per game on the season and 69.1 points per game in Big South play.
• Attributing the offensive success Longwood is having is the efficiency of the Lancers offense. Longwood ranks No. 1 in the Big South in field goal percentage converting .401 percent of shots taken this season.
• The duo of Kyla McMakin and Dayna Rouse find themselves No. 2 and No. 3 in the Big South in scoring. McMakin, the highest-scoring freshman in the Big South, is averaging 16.8 points per game, with Rouse not far behind averaging 15.5 points per game.
• Across the leader boards in the Big South, one name is consistent. Dayna Rouse leads the league in field goal percentage (.549) and freet hrows made (72), while ranking in the top-10 in scoring (15.5), rebounding (7.2), blocks (2.1), steals (1.6), minutes (32.6) per game.
• The Lancers average 13.4 assists per game as a team with Tra'Dayja Smith leading the team averaging 6.4 assists per game. Smith ranks fifth in Division I in assists per game and eighth in total assists with 109 assists on the season.
• Defensively Longwood uses their size to their advantage blocking 98 shots on the season and ranking ninth in Division I averaging 5.76 blocks per game. Akila Smith and Dayna Rouse are tied for the league lead in blocks per game with the pair averaging 2.1 blocks per game.
• Longwood is three blocks shy of 100 blocks on the season and will be the sixth Longwood team to record 100 or more blocks dating back to the 2008-2009 season.

• Longwood and UNC Asheville have met 18 times in series history with the Bulldogs winning 13 of the 18 meetings, including the last two matchups.
• The last Longwood victory against UNC Asheville was in Willett Hall February 24, 2018, when the Lancers defeated the Bulldogs, 67-54
