HARRISONBURG, Va. – Longwood's game at James Madison has been canceled due to inclement weather.
Longwood (16-34, 8-16 Big South) was to play JMU Tuesday at 6 p.m., but rain and lightning forced a cancelation of the game. There will be no make-up for the game.
The Lancers, tied for seventh in the Big South, enter the final weekend of conference action needing to finish within the top eight in the league standings to qualify for the conference tournament. Longwood is currently tied in the standings with Charleston Southern and Presbyterian and has a one-game lead on UNC Asheville.
Longwood begins the final weekend series of the season Thursday with a home game against Gardner-Webb. The game will air on the Big South Network. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Buddy Bolding Stadium.
