The Opening Tip
•    Longwood plays its second straight home game Wednesday, hosting first-place UNC Asheville for a 7 p.m. tipoff in Willett Hall.
•    The Lancers' last meeting with the Bulldogs came earlier this season on Jan. 6 and saw Longwood score 80 points, the team's most against a Division I team this season.
•    Longwood has used the same starting lineup for five consecutive games, the longest such streak of the season. The injury-riddled Lancers have used 13 different starting lineups this season.
•    Already down two players due to season-ending injuries, head coach Jayson Gee announced this week that redshirt sophomore forward Jahleem Montague is out indefinitely with a hand injury.
•    Cousins B.K. Ashe and JaShaun Smith are the only Lancers to have played in all 25 games this season. Ashe is the only player to start all 25.

Last Time Out
•    Liberty forward Scottie James recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Flames to a 67-55 win over Longwood and a split of the regular-season series Saturday in Willett Hall.
•    James finished 8-of-13 from the field and 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He scored 19 of his points in the second half.
•    Behind James' production, Liberty outscored Longwood's short-handed frontcourt 34-14 in the paint and shot .581 (18-of-31) from inside the three-point arc.
•    Isaiah Walton matched James with a 20-point game of his own — his seventh of the season — but the Flames held the Lancers to .340 (16-of-47) shooting from the field overall.
•    Damarion Geter also scored 10 points with three assists for Longwood.

By The Numbers
•    Longwood has the Big South's top three-point defense, holding opponents to a conference-low .310 (196-of-632) clip from beyond the arc.
•    Longwood has held two of its past five opponents under 25.0 percent shooting from three-point range. Gardner-Webb shot just .235 (4-of-17) on Jan. 27, and Liberty shot just .211 (4-of-19) on Feb. 3. On the season, seven of Longwood's opponents have shot .250 or less from three.
•    The Lancers' highest scoring game against a Division I opponent this season came in the last meeting against UNC Asheville on Jan. 9. Longwood scored 80 points in the 90-80 loss, shooting .531 (26-of-49) from the floor and knocking down a season-high 20 free throws.
•    Longwood is one of only three Big South teams with three players shooting at least 40.0 percent from three-point range (min. 50 attempts), joining Charleston Southern and UNC Asheville. Charles Glover leads the team with a .412 (35-of-85) clip, followed by Isaiah Walton (.407, 46-of-113) and JaShaun Smith (.404, 23-of-57).
•    Redshirt junior Damarion Geter has cracked Longwood's top 10 on the all-time blocks list. He has 72 career rejections, which ranks eighth in program history, fifth on the Division I list and first in the Jayson Gee era.
•    Geter is the Big South's only player ranked among the top five in both rebounding and blocks.
•    Isaiah Walton has scored in double figures in 17 of his 20 games this season and ranks fifth in the Big South with 17.2 points per game. He has seven 20-point games on the year.
•    Walton is just 40 points away from reaching 800 in his college career. He has scored all 800 of those in just two seasons at Longwood and is on pace to become the 22nd 1,000-point scorer in Longwood men's basketball history. He would be the ninth player in the Division I era to reach that mark.

Series History
•    Longwood and UNC Asheville meet for the second time this season and 13th time in series history Wednesday in Farmville. UNC Asheville holds an 11-1 record in the series, which began in 1986.
•    UNC Asheville holds a 9-1 record against the Lancers in Longwood's Big South era. Longwood's lone win over the Bulldogs came in the first round of the 2013 Big South Championship when the Lancers knocked off the Bulldogs 87-72 on March 5, 2013 in their first trip to the Big South postseason.
•    Redshirt senior Charles Glover scored a season-high 19 points in the last meeting with UNC Asheville, leading an 80-point effort that was Longwood's highest scoring game against a D-I opponent this season.
