LEADING OFF
• Longwood welcomes Winthrop to Buddy Bolding Stadium for the final series of the regular season. Th Lancers will also host senior day festivities prior to Saturday's game.
• Both teams have locked up their spot in the Big South tournament next week in Boiling Springs, N.C.
• The Lancers come in after dropping a midweek road game at Duke, 5-2. The game ended an 11-game road swing for the blue and white.
• Longwood needs two wins this weekend to eclipse its 2014 win total of 22.
• Winthrop comes in after sweeping its last three conference series versus Asheville, Charleston Southern and Presbyterian.
• Longwood will be fighting for seeding over the weekend as the Lancers can finish as high as sixth in the conference.
