Full Series Notes (PDF) LEADING OFF• Longwood welcomes back its baseball alumni as the Lancers host rival Liberty on Alumni Weekend. The blue and white will retire coach Buddy Bolding's No. 16 jersey at Saturday's game.
• Last season, the Lancers were swept at home by the Flames, making Longwood 1-5 against Liberty as Big South Conference opponents. Historically, the Flames lead the all-time series 21-4 over Longwood.
• The blue and white currently sits in a four-way tie for seventh in the Big South with four series to play. The top eight teams make the conference tournament in May.
• Friday is McDonald's/Kickin' Country night at the ballpark with great prizes being given away all night long. WVHL will be broadcasting live from the stadium beginning at 5 p.m.
