Alex Owens/Purcellville (1-3) was followed by a walk to freshman

High Point added an insurance run in the eighth for the final three-run margin. Chris Clare (1-3) singled, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and moved on to third via a throwing error on the play, and crossed the plate unearned on a sacrifice fly RBI to center field by Greene.
