Heather Tobeck/La Porte, Texas, will be honored in a special pre-game ceremony. The contest will be streamed live on the Big South Network.
Looking at Longwood
Longwood is currently 8-20 overall this season, including 5-14 in Big South Conference action, after splitting a pair of league games at home last week. The Lancers fell, 63-35, against Winthrop on Feb. 20 before defeating Radford, 76-70, on Feb. 22. Through 28 games, sophomore

Scouting Liberty
The Flames are 18-10 so far in 2013-14 and 14-5 in Big South play. The squad is in the midst of a four-game win streak, including a 90-46 victory at Radford earlier this week on Feb. 27. Liberty, under the direction of 15th-year head coach Carey Green, is led by Ashley Reninger with 14.7 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game. Mickayla Sanders and Katelyn Adams add 9.8 and 8.7 points, respectively, while Emily Frazier totals 7.7. As a whole, the Flames are shooting 42.5% (680-1599) from the field, 32.4% (157-485) from three-point territory, and 73.3% (450-614) from the foul line.
Series History
Saturday's contest will mark the 33rd meeting ever between Longwood and Liberty in the sport of women's basketball. The Flames hold a slight, 17-15 edge in the all-time series after winning the last 10 consecutive games dating back to the 1990-91 season. Liberty earned a 74-41 victory at home when the teams squared off earlier this season on Jan. 23

The 2014 VisitMyrtleBeach.com Big South Women's Basketball Championship will take place March 4-9 at The HTC Center, Coastal Carolina's Student Recreation and Convocation Center in Conway, South Carolina. The tournament, which will be held in conjunction with the league's men's basketball championship, will feature all 11 Big South women's basketball member institutions. First Round games will be played on Tuesday, March 4, followed by the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 6 and the semifinals on Saturday, March 8. The tournament will conclude with the championship game on Sunday, March 9. Both the semifinal and final rounds will be streamed live on ESPN3.
