The Opening Tip
 • Longwood plays its final game before the holiday break, as the Lancers return to Willett Hall to host George Mason Monday evening.
• The contest against the Patriots will mark the first of back-to-back games inside Willett Hall, as Gardner-Webb comes to town on Dec. 28. This will be the first time this season that Longwood has played back-to-back games in its home gym.
• After playing eight of their first 10 games on the road to open the 2014- 15 season, Longwood will host five of its next six contests starting with the con­test against George Mason.
• The game against George Mason concludes Longwood's nonconference schedule this season, as the squad's remaining 18 games on the schedule will be played against Big South opponents.  

Last Time Out
 • Clemson utilized a 15-0 run in a span of 5:14 midway through the second half to pull away from visiting Longwood for a 72-56 win Friday night inside Littlejohn Coliseum.
Raven Williams finished the night with the first double-double of her collegiate career, as the Richmond, Va., product finished with 16 points and a career-best 10 rebounds. The game marked the third straight contest Williams has scored 16 or more points.
• Junior guard Kyndal Skersick was the leading scorer for the Lancers, as she scored 12 second-half points and fin­ished the night with 19 points, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
• Clemson forward Nikki Dixon finished with a game-high 24 points and was 8-of- 12 from the floor.

By The Numbers
• Longwood has been successful shoot­ing the three this season, as the Lanc­ers have made at least four three-point field goals in each game they've played. Longwood hit a season-high eight treys in the contest at Richmond and hit seven three-pointers against Virginia.
• The Lancers has played a total of five schools from a power five conference this season — Wake Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. The five games against the power five is the most of any team in the Big South this season.
Raven Williams has been Longwood's top threat from beyond the arc this season, as she is ranked fifth in the conference with 1.80 treys per con­test. In addition, Kyndal Skersick ranks among the top-15 in the conference with 1.10 three-point field goals per contest.
• Longwood has utilized a total of four different starting lineups this season.
• This season marks the 99th season for Longwood women's basketball, as the Lancers have a record of 566-542 since 1970. The Lancers officially made the jump to Division I for the 2007-08 season and are 61-122 in those seven seasons. Prior to making the jump to Division I, Longwood made four NCAA Division II Tournaments (1995, '96, '97, '03).
• Longwood named three players team captains — senior Rianna Frazer, junior Deborah Headen and junior Raven Wil­liams.

Scouting George Mason
• George Mason heads into Monday's contest with a 7-2 record this season. The Patriots have played well of late, as the squad has won three of its four contests in the month of December with the three victories coming on the road.
• George Mason will be playing its third game in four days, as the Patriots played in the Wichita State Winter Classic in Wichita, Kan., over the week­end. The Patriots earned two victories in the tournament, including a 69-57 victory against Big South member Win­throp on Friday.
• Taylor Brown, a transfer from George­town, leads the Patriots with 22.7 points per game. In addition, Jasmine Jackson (13.4 PPG) and Sandra Ngoie (12.6) are averaging in double figures. Brown and Ngoie lead the Patriots in rebounding with 7.1 boards per game.
