The Opening Tip• Longwood opens its 2014-15 Big South schedule Tuesday, Dec. 2 at High Point, who captured the 2014 regular season Big South Championship a year ago. The game is Longwood's second straight on the road, as the squad is currently on a three-game road stretch.
• Overall, eight of Longwood's first 10 games of the season are on the road. The Lancers played their first home game against UNCG on Monday, Nov. 24, and will host UNC Asheville on Dec 14.
• The Lancers are averaging 16.2 points per game from three-point range this season.
• Longwood has had five different players score in double figures so far this season paced by junior
Kyndal Skersick, who has had three games with 10 or more points.

Deborah Headen scored a career-high 19 points, as the Lancers opened a three-game road trip with a 90-55 loss at William & Mary on Saturday, Nov. 29.
• Headen led the charge from beyond the arc, as she made three of the squad's six three-point field goal attempts in the contest.
Kyndal Skersick also made two treys.

Raven Williams notched her third straight game with at least three assists. A native of Richmond, Va., Williams paced Longwood with three dimes and now has 11 on the season.
• William & Mary shot lights out in the contest, as the Tribe was 10-of-21 (.476) from beyond the arc. The Tribe was paced by Marlena Tremba, who matched her season-high with four made three-point field goals.

By The Numbers• Longwood has been successful shooting the three this season, as the Lancers have made at least four three-point field goals in each game they've played. Longwood hit a season-high eight treys in the contest at Richmond.

Raven Williams lead the charge from beyond the arc, as each player ranks among the top 10 in the league with six three-point field goals.
• Longwood will face a total of five schools from a power five conference this season -- Wake Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. The five games against the power five is the most of any team in the Big South this season.
• Through games played on Sunday, Nov. 30, the Lancers rank first in the Big South in three-pointers made per game this season with 27. The Lancers are averaging 5.40 treys made and have four players on the roster with four or more treys.
• This season marks the 99th season for Longwood women's basketball, as the Lancers have a record of 566-542 since 1970. The Lancers officially made the jump to Division I for the 2007-08 season and are 61-122 in those seven seasons. Prior to making the jump to Division I, Longwood made four NCAA Division II Tournaments (1995, '96, '97, '03).

Scouting The Panthers• High Point enters Tuesday's contest with a 3-3 record, as the squad has won two of its past three games.
• In their most recent contest on Sunday, Nov. 30, the Panthers defeated Elon, 87-71.
• High Point has three players averaging in double figures this season, paced by the second and third leading scorers in the Big South Conference. Kaylah Keys averages 17.2 points per game, while Stacia Robertson is second on the squad with 16.2 points per contest. In addition, DeAnneish Jackson is averaging 13.3 points per contest.
• Jackson also leads the Panthers on boards, averaging 9.3 rebounds per game.
• High Point and Longwood have one common opponent outside of conference play this season, as each squad has taken on William & Mary. The Panthers defeated the Tribe in overtime on Nov. 23, 87-80, while the Lancers fell in Williamsburg on Saturday, 90-55.
