FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University will open its three-game weekend Big South Conference North Division baseball series at Campbell University on Friday evening, April 12, at 5 p.m. in a contest that will be televised exclusively on
ESPN3.
It's the first game of a five-game Friday night Big South package on ESPN3. The Lancers (16-18, 6-6 Big South) enter the series in fourth place in the North, while the Fighting Camels (29-6, 9-3 Big South) are in second place in the division. Veteran broadcasters Mike Hogewood (play-by-play) and Nate Ross (analyst) will handle the announcing for the Big South game.
Series History
Longwood and Campbell have met 10 times since 2006 and the all-time series is tied, 5-5. The Lancers and the Fighting Camels played three games in North Carolina last season, as Campbell swept that series (15-6, 9-5, 5-2).

Brandon Vick/Newport News (3-3, 3.61 ERA) in game two of the series. Vick has been impressive against Big South schools in four starts, going 3-0 with a 1.33 ERA through 27.0 innings. The Lancers' starter in game three has yet to be determined.
