Nicole Parker/Richmond at No. 6 against the Flames (1-4, 1-0 Big South). Longwood will return home to host Morgan State University of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Saturday, February 23, at 1 p.m.
At Liberty in the match-opening doubles competition, Shulman and senior
Marta Pinyol/Barcelona, Spain fell at No. 1, 1-8. Allgurin and junior
Sarah Moomau/Winchester fell at No. 2, 3-8. Parker and senior
Hannah Hill/Portsmouth fell at No. 3, 0-8. In singles, Pinyol fell at No. 1, 6-7 (9-7), 7-5, 2-6. Shulman won at No. 2, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2. Allgurin won at No. 3, 6-2, 6-3. Moomau fell at No. 4, 0-6, 2-6. Hill fell at No. 5, 2-6, 4-6. Parker won at No. 6, 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4. The match took over five hours to complete.
