Looking at Longwood
Longwood dropped a pair of decisions last week to move to 3-3 overall this season. The Lancers led by 16 in the first half of their game at George Mason on November 26, but the Patriots made a second-half run before hitting a buzzer-beater to take the 66-65 decision. Later in the week, Longwood battled in-state opponent Richmond on Nov. 30, pulling within five with less than a minute to play thanks to a 20-5 spurt before falling, 77-71, in Willett Hall. Through six games, sophomore Daeisha Brown/Richmond paces the Lancers with 18.8 points per game. Classmate Raven Williams/Richmond has added to the offensive effort with 14.0 points, while redshirt-senior Heather Tobeck/La Porte, Texas and sophomore Kyndal Skersick/Orlando, Fla. total 9.0 and 8.7 points, respecitively. Sophomore Khalilah Ali/Suffolk leads the team on the boards with 7.7 rebounds per game. As a team, Longwood is shooting 37.7% (127-337) from the field, including 25.8% (34-132) from beyond the arc, and 75.2% (79-105) from the foul line.

Series History
Friday's matchup will mark the 28th meeting between Longwood and High Point in the sport of women's basketball. The Panthers hold a 16-11 advantage in the all-time series, including victories in the squads' two most recent outings. When the teams last met on February 7, 2013, High Point earned the 79-72 decision in Farmville. Daeisha Brown paced four double-digit scorers for the Lancers with 20 points, while Cheyenne Parker led the Panthers with a double-double of 34 points and 20 rebounds.
