FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood Universtity shutout Hampton University of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference 7-0 in a men's tennis match on Friday afternoon in Hampton. Freshman Harry Kelleher|Sydney, Australia (St Aloysius' College) shutout his #5 singles opponent in the first set 6-0 and won the second set 6-2. The Lancers (3-5) play the University of Maryland, Baltimore County of the America East Conference in a neutral-site match Sunday, March 11 at 11 a.m., in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Kelleher also won at #2 doubles 8-3 with sophomore partner Edward Becker|Sydney, Australia (Manly Selective Campus) who also won his singles match 6-0, 6-3 at #4. Senior Nobu Tanaka|Potomac, Md. (St. Johns College HS) won with two sets of 6-1 at #1 singles and partnered with freshman Steed Johnson|Raleigh, N.C. (Broughton) for an 8-3 victory at #3 doubles. Johnson played #6 singles and won 6-1, 6-1.
Junior transfer Giorgi Khmiadashvili|Tbilisi, Georgia (Public School 148) won 6-0, 6-3 at #2 singles and was partners with freshman Daniel Elston|Bath, England (Ralph Allen School) at #1 doubles, winning in a close 8-7 (4) match. Elston topped his #3 singles foe 6-1, 6-1.
