FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University dropped an 8-4 baseball decision at home to visiting VCU of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Wednesday night at Charles Buddy Bolding Stadium in Farmville. Unfortunately, Longwood would not score again as VCU added two runs in the fifth and a run each in both the seventh and eighth innings toward the victory. Cujas drew a bases loaded walk before Michael Cheatham (1-3, rbi) added a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Kyle Sutherland (1-5, rbi) contributed an RBI single in the seventh, and Bill Cullen (0-3) walked in the eighth before stealing both second and third, and scored unearned via a throwing error.
