GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Longwood University women's tennis team fell at UNC Greensboro 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in Greensboro, North Carolina. Senior Mason Davis/Richmond (Collegiate School) claimed the lone victory for Longwood at #4 singles (6-3, 6-4). The Lancers fell to 3-2 while UNCG improved to 3-1. Longwood returns to action on Friday, March 5, when it travels to Boone, N.C., to take on Appalachian State University at 2:30 p.m..

In singles action, junior Zsofia Jakab/Minusio, Switzerland (Lices Cantonale Locarns) fell at #1 (4-6, 2-6), senior Laura Simon/Barcelona, Spain (IES Lluis de Peguera) lost at #2 (2-5, retired), freshman Marta Pinyol/Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada) fell at #3 (1-6, 3-6), freshman Allison Shulman/Richmond (Deep Run) lost at #5 (1-6, 1-6), and freshman Hannah Hill/Portsmouth (Western Branch) fell at #6 (4-6, 3-6).

The Lancers claimed the third doubles match but lost the point, with Hill and Simon winning at #3 (8-6). Jakab and Shulman fell at #1 (2-8) and Pinyol and Davis lost at #2 (3-8)
