GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Longwood University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at UNC Greensboro on Sunday afternoon in Greensboro, North Carolina. Freshman Marc Ferrigno/Hvidovre, Denmark (Brondby Gymnasium) claimed the only Longwood (3-4) victory at #2 (6-1, 6-7(2), 12-10). The Lancers return to action on Thursday, March 4, when they face Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., at 1 p.m..

In singles competition, sophomore Nobu Tanaka/Potomac, Md. (St. Johns College HS) fell at #1 (2-6, 5-7), senior Billy Heird/York, Pa. (Dallastown) lost at #3 (0-6, 6-7(2)), senior David Cardoso/Porto, Portugal (Externato Lumen) fell at #4 (2-6, 3-6), freshman Bruno Orlandini/Araraquara, Brazil (E.E.B.A Araraquara) lost at #5 (6-4, 1-6, 3-6) and Adham Halabi/Beamsville, Canada (Niagara Academy) fell at #6 (1-6, 0-6).

In doubles action, Heird and Ferrigno lost at #1 (2-8), Tanaka and Cardoso lost at #2 (6-8) and Halabi and junior Milo Barajas-Alexander/Arlington (Bishop O'Connell) fell at #3 (5-8)
