BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The Longwood University women's tennis team fell to Campbell University 6-1 on Friday in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Sophomore Zsofia Jakab/Minusio, Switzerland (Lices Cantonale Locarns) picked up the only win for the Lancers, winning at #2 (6-3, 6-4). Longwood fell to 3-9 while Campbell improved to 13-9. The Lancers return to action on Saturday, April 11, hosting Howard University at 1 p.m. in Farmville.

In other singles action, junior Laura Simon/Barcelona, Spain (IES?Lluis de Peguera) fell at #1 (6-1, 5-7, 1-6), freshman Jackie Esguerra/Sauk City, Wis. (Prairie du Sac High) lost at #3 (0-6, 2-6), junior Mason Davis/Richmond (Collegiate) fell at #4 (3-6, 5-7), senior Ashley Melson/Virginia Beach (Kellam) lost at #5 (3-6, 0-6) and sophomore Nasim Moadab/Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights) fell at #6 (1-6, 4-6).

The Lancers claimed one of the doubles' flights. Simon and Jakab won at #1 (8-3) while Melson and Davis fell at #2 (3-8) and Moadab and Esguerra fell at #3 (3-8)
