FARMVILLE, Va.-- The Longwood women’s tennis team suffered a 4-3 setback Tuesday afternoon to Campbell, snapping its six game winning streak.  The Lancers (10-7) dominated doubles winning all three matches, before falling in singles 4-2.  Longwood will look to rebound on Thursday, April 12 when they travel to Richmond for a 2:30 p.m. match.
    
Longwood was unstoppable in doubles as Elena Triebskorn/Heddesheim, Germany (Carl-Benz-Gymnasium) and Mason Davis/Richmond (Collegiate School) beat the team of Scarlet Alfonzo and Blanca Saenz 8-2 in the one spot.  Romana Bucur/Brasov, Romania (Joan Mesota) and Lexi Torrice/Richmond (Douglas Freeman) took a 8-6 match from Ana Surviladze and Nina Surviladze at the number two spot while Ashley Melson/Virginia Beach (Kellam) and Laura Simon/Manresa, Spain (IES Lluis de Peguera) rounded out the sweep in doubles with an 8-6 win of their own in the three spot .
    
The Lancers struggled in singles as Bucur and Triebskorn recorded the only two wins at the number one and two spots.  Bucur defeated Alfonzo in three sets, winning the first 6-0 losing the second 5-7 but winning the third 6-1.  Triebskorn recorded a 7-5, 6-1 win over A. Surviladze in the number two spot.   That was it for Longwood falling in the final four singles matches giving Campbell the win.
