FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University dropped a 7-2 women’s collegiate tennis decision to visiting Augusta State University Saturday at the Lancer Courts. The Lancers are now 0-1 and will host Mary Washington College on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. in Farmville.
Longwood won one singles and one doubles match. In singles, senior Cecilia Robinson/Lynchburg (Brookville) won at #3 (6-1, 2-2, default). In doubles, senior Danielle Hess/Bel Air, Md. (Bel Air) and freshman Jenn Edwards/Newport News (Hampton Roads Academy) won at #2 (8-1).
